Tangent is the only science fiction and fantasy short fiction review magazine. A quarterly publication, it reviews every original story in all North American SF/F professional magazines, many anthologies, and several SF magazines from the UK and Ireland. It features many author and editor profiles in each issue (with photos), informative and sometimes controversial columns, and a yearly reading list which serves as the macrolist from which the annual Theodore Sturgeon winner for Best Short SF is chosen.

Tangent's reviews are thoughtful and useful, making the magazine an invaluable addition to the field for its coverage of short fiction
