DARK RAPTOR PRESS is seeking submissions for a new anthology of 250-750 word short-shorts to be published late in 1998. Submissions may be in any genres, theme or style, and must be complete stories, not fragments or vignette; original and previously unpublished work only. Payment will be $0.03 per word, plus 3 copies of the book, on publication for 1st North American Serial Rights. The 1997 DRAGON'S BREATH SMALL PRESS AWARDS have gone to Back Brain Recluse (year's best short fiction magazine), Zene (year's best nonfiction & review magazine), and Tanjen Ltd (publisher of the year). The year's best books were The Best New SF 10 (anthology), The Encyclopedia of TV Science Fiction, The Complete Book of Scriptwriting, and Elliott's Guide to Home Entertainment (nonfiction), Kingdom Come (graphic novel), and Fabulous Beasts (art book).

Revised third edition featuring the guidelines and requirements of over 600 UK small press magazines, with a spot-on introduction by Peter Finch. The deadline for inclusion is September of the previous year, so the book advises that a certain amount of caveat lector applies.
