the-phone-book.com requires original works of ultra-short fiction for publication in a quarterly, short story showcase for WAP and web users. Accepted work will be published through the-phone-book.com WAP and Web sites, making it accessible from traditional PCs as well as the new mobile technologies of PDAs and WAP telephones.

the-phone-book.com actively seeks to publish collections of stories from each author; there is no limit to the number of stories any individual can submit.

All submissions must fit into one of three categories:

The Mini Story: Original, short works of fiction of between
100 and 150 words in length, paid at a rate of 25p per word.

The Micro Story: Original, short works of fiction of less
than 50 words, paid at a rate of 35p per word.

The Short Micro Story: Original, short works of fiction
of no more than 150 characters (including spaces, punctuation and title) in length (roughly 25 words) paid at a rate of 50p per word.

If you are interested in submitting work to the-phone-book,
we strongly recommend you first read the Editor's Note and the Frequently Asked Questions on the website.

Donard Publishing International Short Story Competition

The competition is open to all Nationalities and covers all genres. Stories
must be no more than 5000 words long. Send entries as an e-mail attachment
or in the body of an e-mail to submissions@donardpublishing.com before the
closing date. Include your name and e-mail address at the top of your
story.
You may enter more than one story. The closing date for the competition is
1st December 2001. By entering a story in this competition you are agreeing
