Pushcart Prize nominee Hertzan Chimera's psycho-erotic sci-fi horror novel "SZMONHFU" is now available through www.Amazon.com and www.BarnesAndNoble.com where they run a generous discount scheme.

If you live in Japan, you can go through your local branch of www.amazon.co.jp -- it's that easy.

this announcement just in from Sandy Auden of the BFS:

News Item:-

Mixing horror and erotica into a heady brew is Hertzan Chimera's latest release, Szmonhfu.

Imagine - you have been 'programmed' by years of genetic mutation and years of social conditioning. Imagine - if that social conditioning and that gene evolution took place just yesterday when they plugged you into the psycho-sexual mainline. You would be abandoned to all the devastating hurt and dizzying pleasure of normal life, unsure how to deal with the choking rush of experience.

Jane is a living tissue of flame, torn apart by her fragility in the face of the overwhelming intensity of her sexual creativity, and her ability to dredge up the very deepest fantasies from her lovers. How pure their intentions must be. How honourable. For one small slip of conscience will result in a filthy bloodbath of man-raped, sexual identity unwoven.

Jane's whole identity is clearly a result of bio-genetic decisions taken in a corporate board room. How will she react when she discovers the truth about her origins? And what of the legendary Szmonhfu - an alien race of watchers from the other side of the burning divide? Will she be able to stop them from crossing over and using her unique power to their own evil aims?

It's a dark and intense topic for a novel so why did Chimera decide to tread such a forbidding path? 'I write about the things that pre-occupy my mind,' he explained. 'I can't write to order, which is why I don't succeed in writing for themed or anthology publications. There are many writers out there who can be said to be writing erotica, but that doesn't interest me. The language of the typical erotica writer is so dull, it is as if they are describing the making of plasticene sculpture - there is no life in either the vocabulary or the syntax. Some of my imagery is quite horrific and I hardly ever censor. In reality I hardly ever edit, and I certainly remember very little of what I write.'

"The writing is phenomenal..." Mind Caviar
