The Fix cover

The Fix

Subject: For Readers / For Writers
Category: Magazine
Country of Origin: UK (NSFA)

Zene has evolved into The Fix, a magazine for all those interested in short fiction, ie readers, not just writers. It's been revamped and redesigned, is much bigger, and with much more varied content.

Peter Tennant, who reads more magazine (and books) than anybody, is the ideal man to write a regular comment column in The Fix, about what's being published, what isn't, how, why and why not. There are various other items (dead magazine, new magazines, etc), but the bulk of the rest of the magazine is made up of hard-hitting reviews of LOTS of magazines, anthologies, novellas and collections.

(For its first 24 issues, Zene provided comprehensive listings of contributors' guidelines of small press, independent and semi-pro magazines, anthologies, comics etc, of all genres, world-wide. As well as detailed guidelines, prices, addresses, and so on, each issue included up-to-date news, views, interviews and reviews, plus wide-ranging articles and feedback from writers, artists, readers, editors and publishers. See below for issues still available.)
