August 2000 Messages

I just placed a new collection of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror artwork online; you can find it at http://DuncanLong.com/art/ar/index.html Much of my artwork is finding its way to the covers and illustrations being used by small publishers; if you're in need of artwork for your publication, you might want to take a look to see if there's something for you here.

CELEBRATING over 50 YEARS of ooze

The Journal of Substance, Wit, and Dangerous Masturbatory Habits compiles the best content from it's illustrious 50 year history.

Articles, Animations, Videos, and things that are remotely humorous.

In 1946 ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer), weighing in at 80 tons with 18,000 vacuum tubes, is turned on for the first time, heralding a new age in digital computing. Fifteen minutes later, the computer crashes, blacking out most of Philadelphia when the artillery plotting program was switched with the first issue of Ooze. No one laughs.

Today: Ooze is the World's Most Popular Form of Entertainment.

"WHAT'S NEW?" is the latest addition to the UNHINGED website. Although still in the experimental stages, I hope this page will prove popular with regular visitors. My aim is for everyone to see at a glance what's new and happening. Other small presses will be reviewed and newsworthy items mentioned as and when they catch my attention so you may want to bookmark it. Added today: Review of Roadworks #9

Swansea & District ~ Poets ~
...I've just created a website where I'm calling for local
poets to submit their work. All poets who are featured
on this site will receive a 'free copy' of my quarterly
POETRY magazine 'PANDA'. A sister site will be created
very soon, this will be open to poets in the UK and Ireland.
Following this, will be a site featuring poets Worldwide.
As these sites are launched, (within the next few weeks)
an announcement will be made HERE!
