I'd like to invite everyone to visit my newly re-built web site at http://www.stevenmayoff.ca
Some of you may have visited it when it was called Youkali Song-Cycle. But those poems have been taken down and are in the process of being revised. In their place I have posted selections of prose, plays and lyrics that have been previously published, aired or recorded - as well as a work in progress. There are also links to some other interesting web sites. And be sure to sign the guest book. Your comments are welcome. Happy surfing.

Just thought I'd alert any small press supporters who are into horror movies to the fact that I have published the first issue of a new horror mag entitled UNRATED - CINEMA OF THE EXTREME. A Glossy A$ colour publication that is receiving rave reviews: Beg cheat or steal to get your hands on the assaulting debut issue of Carl T. Ford's UNRATED MAGAZINE - a glossy, meticulously-designed British publication dedicated to the subversive and extreme modern horror film.

- Mitch Davies, producer for SUBCONSCIOUS CRUELTY film, director of DIVIDED INTO ZERO, organiser of FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL

Unrated is a new publishing venture devoted to critically ignored cinema.
Admirable and slick, it has one or two genuine curios up its sleeve.

- David Kerekes, editor and publisher for HEADPRESS, author of KILLING FOR CULTURE

Received that issue you had sent--magazine looks really good

- Kevin Lindenmuth, founder of Brimstone Film Productions, and low budget horror film director

Thank you very much for Unrated. We have really enjoyed the
well researched informative article and would love to feature it
on our boudiccafilms.com website.

- Producers of BOY MEETS GIRL film

You authored an interesting and lively article, and as
the writer-director of the subject under scrutiny,
I would very much like to put my hands on a copy of your mag

- Mark Blair, director of CONFESSIONS OF A SERIAL KILLER

Got the copies of 'Unrated' today and was very pleased with the whole thing.
Do you have provisions for selling them to other people here in the US if they like it?

- Robert A. Burns, set designer for TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, THE HILLS HAVE EYES etc

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was very pleased to see
the glossy, full-color magazine that arrived. Very nice.

- Joe Christ, controversial underground film director

Thanks so much for sending the mag! Looks really cool
UNRATED is neck and neck with the big boys

- Larry Fessenden, film director, actor, producer for Glass Eye Pix

'Unrated' magazine is not only a gorgeous glossy high end genre magazine but is a refreshingly original one with an admirable stance towards new diverse film makers. ...Sterling work by editor/writer Carl T. Ford

- Sex Gore Mutants website
Please check out our website at http://www.unrated.co.uk/ the magazine can be ordered on-line by credit card or PAYPAL at SST publications - check out the UNRATED NEWS PAGE for details

For the past year I've been working towards self-publishing my novel on CD Rom, and my publication date is October 30th 2002. This is not a genre novel as such (general fiction), but it's very much 'small press'. I've carried out all the production from my desk top using desk top publishing software and a laptop. I'll be printing on 'demand' when (if!) orders come in.

I'd be happy to answer any enquiries, and if you'd like a copy, order details are listed below. There are further details on my website.

'In his dream Norrie was buying a present for Merle, but he could not find the stairs. If he could not find the stairs, he would never get out of the cellar and into the glorious plate glass and chromium heaven where the shops were.

He came across the footprints he and the trucker had left in the wet cement five years ago, 'just like Hollywood' the trucker had said. They had wanted to leave their hands but in the end their feet had to do. Two left feet. Chaise longues for Millennium rats now, nearer the size of Fiddler, the over fed Jack Russell who had plagued Norrie when he first moved in with Morris and Olive Bright.'

Shifting through time from past to present, ĪSearching For The Reincarnatedā tells the stories of the inhabitants of the fictional Black Country town of Sadmere and of the tragedies which alter their lives forever.

'Searching For The Reincarnated' is about the passing of time, how time finds stasis in memory, and how ghosts and memories are often one in the same thing.

I am a writer of fantasy, dark fantasy, science fiction, poetry of several different styles, and currently exploring political commentary. Being a student of Political Science and International Relations in combination, and as a daughter of unwealthy parents, I am at the crossroads of not being able to fund my education. I will be pleased to do commisioned works, and am more than happy to send samples of my work as proof of my talents.

If interested please send e-mail to the following address to inquire.
